Our client, a large Federal Government entity focused on trademarks is seeking a Senior Splunk Engineer.

About our client

They are the Australian Government agency that administers legislation relating to patents, trademarks, designs and plant breeder’s rights.

About the role – Senior Splunk Engineer

Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of Splunk core infrastructure services.

Duties

• Assistance in major Splunk data technical addon, and data collection integration and fault finding
• Support to the planning and design of data ingestion requirements for projects
• Creating and fault-finding data collection inputs using PowerShell, Regular Expression, Java, .NET, or bash as required and writing supporting documentation

Skills / Experience

• Three years or more experience in system administration and architecting Splunk on Linux or Windows operating systems in cloud and on premises alongside major hosted applications supported by those operating systems
• Three years or more experience in using PowerShell, Bash, Regular Expression, Python, Java, and .NET in providing custom data collection inputs for Splunk correlation activities and or building or fault finding technical addons
• Three years or more experience in working with major network appliances and a good comprehension of their process flow and event log makeup
