Our client, a large Federal Government entity focused on international trade is seeking an Infrastructure Senior Email Engineer.

About the role – Infrastructure Senior Email Engineer

Our client is seeking an Infrastructure Senior Email Engineer to lead design and implementation activities modernising the client’s email service utilising Microsoft Exchange Online and Fortra Secure Email Gateways.

Duties

• Drive the technical direction of email system modernisation work packages under the DUP
• Ensure compliance with the client’s enterprise and security architecture frameworks
• Develop system design documentation and ensuring they are approved

Skills / Experience

• Microsoft Purview and broader M365 security and compliance tools; Microsoft Defender for Office 365; Cloud security architecture and Zero Trust principles
• Strong understanding of email security concepts including encryption, DLP, and compliance, and hands-on experience with Fortra (formerly Clearswift) Secure Email Gateways
• Knowledgeable in email routing, SMTP protocols, DNS configurations (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and mail flow diagnostics
