Enterprise Architecture Practice Lead Contract

• Sydney or Canberra – Hybrid/3 days WFH

Our client, a large Federal Government department who is responsible for preventing, detecting and responding to criminal abuse of the financial system, is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architecture Practice Lead to join their team.

As the Enterprise Architecture Practice Lead, your expertise will be crucial in aligning the department’s ICT infrastructure with organisational goals and ensuring seamless integration of technology solutions across all facets of operations.

Key duties/skills include:

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the agency’s architecture practice, ensuring alignment with the agency’s business objectives and IT strategy;
• Oversee the development and maintenance of comprehensive enterprise architecture models that encompass data, information, cyber and technology domains. Define standards, guidelines and best practices for architecture design and implementation;
• Tailor an established architecture frameworks (such as TOGAF) in a pragmatic manner to suit the needs of the agency;
• Establish governance frameworks to ensure compliance with whole-of-government requirements and internal policies.

Criteria:

• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in ICT, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role covering multiple disciplines such as Data, Cyber and Information Management;
• Experience in a government or public sector environment is highly desirable;
• Strong leadership qualities with proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex technical and business requirements and translate them into effective architecture solutions.
