Business Operations Manager

Our Federal Client is looking for a Business Operations Manager to start a long term contract beginning 1st July 2025. This person will manage a small team responsible for delivering the following:

The duties and responsibilities of the Business Operations Manager are as follows:

• Manage day-to-day operations of Digital Transformation Programs, ensuring organisational processes, policies and procedures are followed;
• Enhance systems, optimise for best practices and provide support and expertise;
• Manage budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation to meet strategic goals;
• Review branch performance, drive efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement;
• Make effective use of individual and team capabilities and negotiate responsibility for work outcomes;
• Engage with the Change team and other agency stakeholders to manage both internal and external engagements;
• Help co-ordinate procurement and purchasing activities for the program and project team;
• Provide advice and guidance on risks, issues, dependencies, scheduling and project change control management, ensuring appropriate strategies and mitigation plans are in place;
• Manage Program, Portfolio and Project planning, reporting and governance, and

Skills and Experienced required:

• Demonstrated ability to apply judgement and common sense to identify and respond appropriately to risk.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make sound operational decisions.
• Strong time management, prioritisation and organisational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and management skills and the ability to build capability and provide support to teams.
