Accountant Contract

• 4 + 4 month contract – ASAP Start
• $95 – $110 per hour (inc-Super) – market estimate
• Baseline Security Clearance preferred (chance to obtain)
• Canberra City address

Our client, a Government Agency responsible for National WHS & Workers’ compensation policy, are seeking the experience of an Accountant for a 4 + 4 month contract.

Duties of the Accountant

• Assist with financial statement Preparation.
• Preparation of accounting position papers.
• Perform monthly and annual financial reporting to Department of Finance through CBMS.
• Co-ordination of the external audit of financial statements.
• Preparation of relevant content for the annual report.

Skills and Experience Required

• Demonstrated experience in technical accounting and qualifications in accounting as well as CPA membership is required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Good stakeholder engagement skills.
