• Ability to obtain Baseline security clearance

Our client, a small  Federal Government regulatory authority based in Launceston, Tasmania or Canberra, ACT, requires an experienced Technical Writer for a 4 + 5 month contract.

Although this position is being advertised in both the ACT and Tasmania, it is highly desirable that the successful candidate resides in Launceston, Tasmania.

The Technical Writer will:

• Develop policies and procedures in consultation with business and technical staff
  
• Proactively build productive working relationships with the team and across our IT Branch, with other stakeholders and clients
  
• Prepare additional briefing materials, options papers and other correspondence
  
• Support managers in the development and implementation of the new policies and procedures

The Technical Writer will have experience with:

• Writing ICT related Governance and Assurance documents in plain, simple English (5+ years experience).
  
• Developing policy that effectively supports business outcomes.
  
• Using M365 tools, particularly Word and Teams.
  
• HTML based documents and familiarity with Squiz editing.
  
• Familiarity with M365, especially Teams, CM9 and publication in HTML using Squiz
  
• Good understanding of the COBIT framework.
