Data Engineer Contract NEW

• 12 + 12 + 12 month Data Engineer contract
  
• FinTel Alliance organisation based in Chatswood
  
• Java development, Geocoding, Hadoop and Scala programming
  
• $112 – $128 (Inc. Super) per hour

Our client, a financially focussed regulatory environment based in Chatswood, NSW, requires an experienced Data Engineer for a 12 + 12 + 12 month contract.

The Data Engineer will:

• Work in an agile development team to handle data quality enhancements across several existing systems.
  
• Develop approaches for transforming existing data in both relational databases and proprietary systems.
  
• Assess, process, cleanse, and verify data with excellent analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.

The Data Engineer will have experience with:

• Java development in an enterprise environment.
  
• Geocoding standards and the output from both proprietary and open-source address tools.
  
• Hadoop and Scala experience would be highly advantageous.
  
• Working with structured and unstructured data.
  
• Ability to engage stakeholders from various technical and non-technical backgrounds.
